CANON PRINTER INK CARTRIDGES

Popular Canon Inkjet Printers

Canon's PIXMA and MAXIFY printer families are among the most popular Canon printers due to their price and dependability. Because of their high ink efficiency and performance, these printers are perfect for both black and white documents and color photo printing. Whether you need a home printer or a printer for your small business, Canon offers the right printer for you.

Pixma Series

Canon PIXMA MX922

The photo printers PIXMA MX922 and MX920 are among the most popular in the line of Canon PIXMA printers. With its PGI-250XL and CLI-251XL ink cartridges, they provide dependable prints with great resolution, suitable for producing high-quality detail in documents and images. Their 5-color ink system produces sharp text and vivid photographs with accurate colors, whether you're printing on photo paper or not.

Canon PIXMA Pro-100

The Canon PIXMA Pro-100 printer is a popular model in the PIXMA line of printers that is aimed at photographers. It includes borderless printing up to A3+ and an OIG (Optimum Image Generating) system that delivers a stunning, seamless output. The PIXMA Pro-100 uses the CLI-42 ink cartridge.

Maxify Series

MAXIFY MB2320

The Maxify printer family is intended for document printing with PGI (Pigment-based ink), meaning it is better for text document printing rather than photo printing. These ink cartridges are larger than standard ink cartridges, allowing you to print more. The MB2320 is the most popular MAXIFY printer, and the PGI-1200XL ink cartridge it uses offers a wireless printing capability that lets you print documents from your smartphone or tablet.

Popular Canon Laser Printers

The ImageClass and i-Sensys families of Canon laser printers are popular for a variety of reasons. The ImageClass printer line is noted for its versatility, allowing users to quickly print, scan, and copy documents. The MF624CW, MF733CDW, and MF634CDW are three of the most popular printers in this line, and they're ideal for printing a big quantity of papers. These printers will get the work done fast and efficiently, whether at home or in a small office.

IMAGECLASS FAMILY

The ImageClass printers are divided into three models, denoted by the letters C, D, and W. Color printing is handled by the C model, duplex printing is handled by the D model, and wireless printing is handled by the W model. These printers all employ a single cartridge system, which combines the toner and drum into a single unit that is easy to replace when necessary.

I-SENSYS SERIES

The i-SENSYS LBP-113w, a single-function printer with a 150-sheet paper capacity and print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute, is the most popular printer in the i-Sensys printer series. It offers wireless and USB connectivity, making it ideal for multi-user offices. Designed to print both photos and text, the i-Sensys series of printers use the Canon 047 toner and 049 drum.

Remanufactured Canon Ink & Toner vs. Compatible Canon Ink & Toner

COMPATIBLE CANON INK AND TONER

Compatible printer cartridges are those that are not manufactured by the printer's original manufacturer, but rather by an aftermarket manufacturer. The appearance of the ink cartridges itself may differ slightly from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) cartridge, but they will function just as well. Our Canon CLI-42 is an example of a popular compatible Canon ink cartridge.

Aftermarket printer cartridges, like OEM cartridges, are designed to function with a certain printer model. They do not, however, infringe on any patents and are far less expensive than OEM cartridges.

REMANUFACTURED CANON INK AND TONER

OEM cartridges are recycled and used again as remanufactured printer cartridges. This process helps prevent the cartridges from winding up in landfill waste. While these recycled printer cartridges are less expensive than brand new OEM cartridges, they can still be more expensive than compatible printer cartridges.

Our Canon PG-245XL & 246XL cartridges are an example of a remanufactured cartridge. Each of these cartridges go through a deep cleaning, restoration, and ink refilling process. They also go through extensive testing to ensure that they are in perfect working order.

Guide to Canon Ink

The naming convention for Canon printer ink cartridges is as follows:

PGI

Pigment-Based Ink Cartridges from Canon PGI Pigment-based inks are ideal for text document printing

BCI

Canon BCI Pigment-based inks come in sets of 3 or 6 Canon

BCIE (Enhanced)

BCIE Dye-based inks. The letter "e" stands for "enhanced."

You can determine which type of ink is compatible with your printer by looking at the product description pages on our website.

Page Yield

It's critical to evaluate both the price and the page yield when purchasing a new printer or printer cartridge. The page yield refers to how many pages a cartridge can print before running out of ink or toner.

Cartridges are frequently available in two yields: normal and high yield. High-yield cartridges print more pages than standard-yield cartridges, and their product names usually include an XL, XXL, JUMBO, or Super High Yield feature.

Ink and toner cartridges come in a variety of sizes, but the number of pages each one can print is not determined by the cartridge size. The XXL cartridge will have the same dimensions as the XL cartridge, but it will be able to print more pages as it is filled with more ink.

Ink cartridges typically have a page yield of up to 1000 pages, while toner cartridges often have a page yield of over 1000 pages. You can use the page yield information on all of our products to help you choose the ideal cartridge for your needs.

Ink-Saving Tips for Canon Printers

If you're looking for ways to cut down on your printing costs, here are some ink-saving tips:

Print in draft mode.

When you print in draft mode, your printer will use less ink. This mode is ideal for documents that don't need to be printed in high quality, such as drafts or school assignments.

Print in grayscale.

If you're printing a document that doesn't need to be in color, you can save ink by printing in grayscale. Even when you're printing documents that are black and white, some printers will use color ink to produce a sharper image. By printing in grayscale, you can ensure that your printer only uses black ink.

Change your printer settings.

When printing photos, you can reduce the amount of ink used by changing the printer settings. Try reducing the quality or printing fewer pictures on each page.

Use the print preview feature.

Before printing, use the print preview feature to see how your document will look when printed. This will allow you to make changes before potentially having to print multiple versions, saving you lots of ink, time and money.

Select an ink-friendly typeface.

Some fonts use more ink than others. When you're printing a document, try selecting an ink-friendly typeface such as Century Gothic or Calibri. These fonts use less ink than other fonts, making them ideal for documents that will be printed in large quantities

Canon Printer Troubleshooting Tips for Using Compatible and Remanufactured Ink & Toner

If an error message appears on your Canon printer while printing with a compatible or remanufactured cartridge, press and hold the Cancel/Stop button for 10 seconds. This will force the printing process to complete. This technique can also be used if the printer displays an empty cartridge after you've installed a new compatible or remanufactured cartridge; or if the cartridge cannot be recognized.

Another trouble shooting tip to perform in the event the cartridge isn't recognized is to turn off and unplug the printer for a few minutes. This will reset the printer's memory, allowing it to properly recognize the new compatible or remanufactured cartridge.

If your Canon inkjet printer is still not working after trying these tips, please contact Inkjets for further assistance. Our customer service representatives will be happy to help you troubleshoot your printer issue.
